IB Primary Years Programme


The International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) is an academic program of study authorized by the International Baccalaureate (IB) for the students falling within the age group of 3-12. The IB Primary Years Programme may be regarded as a launching pad for preparing students for the course content under the IB Middle Years Programme.

The Organisational History of IB

The IB or the International Baccalaureate is an international foundation that got founded with the intention of taking education ahead in the year 1968. Under the IB four basic genres are included for higher studies, which include the IB Diploma Programme, the IB Middle Years Programme, the IB Primary Years Programme and the IB Career-related Programme. It has its headquarters in Geneva and Switzerland.

Target group
