The IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) refers to a two-year academic program involving individuals in the age range of 16-18 and certifies them with a globally recognized qualification for admission into higher education. Many universities on the international level recognize it.
The Organisational History of IB
The IB or the International Baccalaureate is an international foundation that got founded with the intention of taking education ahead in the year 1968. Under the IB four basic genres are included for higher studies. This includes the IB Diploma Programme, the IB Middle Years Programme, the IB Primary Years Programme and the IB Career-related Programme. It has its headquarters in Geneva and Switzerland.
The Objective of Study
The DP curriculum for the program includes six subjects, wherein three of them form the core requirements along with six subject areas. Assessment of students gets conducted via the tool of internal and external evaluation, and a range of examinations marks the completion of the course. These examinations get evaluated by external examiners, commonly involving timed written exams.

The IB Diploma Programme begins in the latter phase of KS4 and encases three years of school teaching in maintained schools in Wales and England. This corresponds to the age of the students ranging from 16, 17, 18 and 19.
The IB Diploma Programme was developed in the mid-1960s by a team of international educators and is usually imparted in many schools across numerous countries, in usually one of the three languages: Spanish, French or English and has since long guided students all over England towards a well-planned future.
